11/16/20 Woman of the Week: Candace Owens

Candace Owens has only been on the conservative scene since 2017, but is already at the forefront of the future of the Republican Party due to her honest conservative rhetoric and her outspoken criticism of how the Democratic party treats African Americans and other minority groups. In 2017, Owens launched the website, Red Pill Black, in an effort to promote Black conservatism in the U.S., and subsequently started the Blexit movement in 2018, which urges African Americans and other minority groups to walk away from the Democratic Party.

Owens not only unapologetically stands up for her beliefs, but continues to advocate for the preservation of Western values no matter how much backlash she receives from the left, and for this reason, she is the perfect example of what the Republican Party needs going forward, as the fight to hold onto Western culture continues to heat up. In a world where the immoral values championed by Hollywood continue to permeate our daily lives through a change in moving away from traditional Western values and culture, Candace Owens has shown that she is not afraid to single-handedly take on Hollywood and the far Left, which has opened up the door for other conservatives, particularly women, to defend their way of life and to begin speaking out and fighting back. Owens has strongly advocated against Third Wave Feminism, claiming that there is nothing “empowering” about choosing to objectify oneself by normalizing nudity and sexual prowess, and that the attack on masculinity from these so-called “feminists” is destroying the concept of a nuclear family and the principles that Western culture rests upon. Owens is such a powerful voice for conservative women as the battle against the Left wages on, as she advocates for a new, conservative brand of feminism. One where women speak out and work hard to prove their capabilities, but where they also push back against radical claims that seek to dismantle family life and conservative values. In this brand of feminism, one can be both a good wife and a strong leader. Rather than attacking the power of men, women should work alongside men in order to achieve goals, and instead of tearing the other gender down, both genders should embrace the inherent differences between men and women in order to appreciate just how unique both can be.
